Karma Explained in Metaphor

[Inspired by a similar illustration which was found in “The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings”]

After Chanting with Sexual Promiscuity [read part 1], here is the rest of the illustration: [Commentary]

The Stupa is
the mother’s womb
…the egg
a treasure tower full of jewels
karma founded upon deeds renowned

the Buddha is
the father’s sperm
…enters with sleeping dogs [Karma]
lazy dogs, …mischievous, viscous dogs
…one, …two, …three
[Three Poisons: Greed, Anger, and Foolishness]

…the bitch, …the hound, …the bastard
proliferate and mastered
from the sleeping dogs
…one, …two, …three

the treasure tower
left behind

pure of heart
sardonic smile
eyes and ears
the touch of flesh

stimulate, discriminate, the dog’s awake
…one, …two, …three

evil deeds
ego breeds
human needs

now … understand
the seed …which began
pure of Heart
corrupt of Thought

if as yet you have not seen…
…the Buddha in us all …is “self”
…is master of the dogs

,,,the sleeping dogs
…is karma seed, …of evil deeds

the moral here
is very clear

training the dogs is life’s career
[domesticate the ego]

and if well done
we’re left a pun
…no bitch, …no bastard
…the hound in chase of the hind
…the Sufic hymn, of Love best mastered

[A Messiah’s immaculate conception, pure… is the treasure tower alone, no corruption. He did not bring in the sleeping dogs.]
